For additional subjects, add 50%, and for complex backgrounds, add 30%. A 50% deposit is required at the time of contract agreement to reserve a place on the schedule and to secure the price at its current level. Multiple painting commissions are eligible for a 25% discount of the current price. Prices do not include framing or sales tax. Travel expenses outside of the Montgomery, Alabama area and any shipping fees are the responsibility of the client and are billed separately.

The first meeting is to discuss the size, medium, background and other content issues regarding the painting. The contract is then drawn up to include all agreed upon elements and deposit is made. Next, a photo session is scheduled whereupon photos are taken to define the composition, lighting and general atmosphere of the piece. Following composition photos, detail photos are needed and sometimes, additional sittings are required for this. At this time, several small sketches are done and another meeting is scheduled to review all photos and sketches, and decisions are made for the final painting. The photos, sketches and all other information are considered and a drawing is done of the final work and submitted for approval and adjustments. Following completion of the final painting, any necessary adjustments are done and a live sitting is beneficial at this time if possible. The process takes approximately 6 months.
